The Sterling House On the river and close to downtown
10/10 Excellent
"The Sterling House checks all the boxes. Pet-friendly (our dog loved running around in the fenced backyard), clean, sooo cozy, and convenient to everything. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is well-stocked. We felt very much at home there. There are two parks within walking distance (one less than 1/8th mile), it's walkable to downtown, and the street is historic, quiet, and lovely. The view from the deck is incredible! The river is closer to the house than it appears in the listing pictures, and we spent much of our time on the deck or in the great room appreciating the view. We were even lucky enough to have a train pass by one morning, and we saw the old swing bridge in action. Check-in couldn't be more effortless, and the host responds very quickly. We were also pleased with the variety and quality of the restaurants in Washington. Can highly recommend The Bank Bistro and Bar (amazing Caesar salad), Pam's diner, and Havens Mill Pizza (take out only). Truly one of our favorite rentals of all time. We hope to return again and again. "
"Very nice two bedroom two bath cottage. With excellent common room (kitchen, family room! Awesome. Close to everything. Walked downtown is easy peasy. "
"We loved the cuteness of this tiny cabin. Two things stood out to us. Having the new memory foam mattresses; using slats rather than a full sheet of plywood can be uncomfortable. Also, the TV is the size of a large laptop computer and my iPhone would t scan the QR code from the bed. Each time we wanted to sign in to our apps you need to get closer to the TV. Two minor things, that would make a huge difference. So friendly at check in and while at the campground store. They had great recommendations! We loved it and would stay again"
Immaculate Cottage in the Historic District. Quiet street, large fenced yard.

"What a wonderful place! Perfect for our dogs, easy walk to restaurants and waterfront. They even have bikes! Overall our stay was exceptional. We will stay there again and would highly recommend Tilted Cottage to anyone considering a stay in Washington!"
