Peaceful cabin on the Tennessee River / Lake Chickamauga with 2 bedrooms on main floor and a large loft. Two porches the length and width of the home, one is screen-in and offers a dreamy bed swing and seating for satellite watching tv.

It has a private boat dock for your enjoyment, so bring your boat in the summer! We only have summer water (Approximately Mid April - Mid Oct), so in the winter enjoy the Armstrong Ferry Campground boat ramp 2 miles
Cell coverage is also limited in our area but we do get calls and texts at the Cabin. High speed Fiber internet is now available. Download measured over 800mbps
We are pet friendly. Include your pet in the booking for a small fee. We do ask for the pets to stay off the furniture and the beds. Also please clean up their waste in the yard. They do need to be Potty and Poo trained.

Enjoy the quietness of Decatur, Tn.! Odds are you will see deer so drive carefully.

Chattanooga is only 45 minutes away.
Dayton is 30 minutes away.
Decatur is 19 minutes away.

Wonderful stay!!
Beautiful property!! Great hosts. The house is just as wonderful as the pictures show it to be and the dock/fishing/kayaks were such a hit with our family. We spent most of our time either on the water fishing or around the fire pit. Would definitely recommend!!

Peaceful retreat!!
The home was even better than what was shown online. The decor was gorgeous. Super clean and everything seemed brand new. My favorite part was the screened porch with the hanging swing. I could have stayed there all day listening to the birds outside. Cabin had everthing we needed and the yard was beautiful. Our dog even got visited by the neighbor’s dogs and some other dogs from down the road. He had a blast.

My wife, 2 daughters and grandson came up to watch our son play baseball in Dayton, TN. The cabin was nestled out in the woods along the river and had all the essentials and then some. Richard the host responded to all our needs very fast. We would definitely recommend the property and if we are ever in the area again we will stay in Richard’s cabin.

Great little cabin
We really enjoyed the cabin. We learned a valuable lesson about asking about weather and the amenities ahead of time. We were disappointed as we were not aware Tennessee was in an extreme drought. There was no water at the dock so we couldn’t fish and there was a burn ban so we couldn’t use the fire pit. Overall, we did have a relaxing mini vacation and did get to see some wildlife and experience a little change of seasons that we don’t get in Florida. Would definitely try again.

Nice Place to Getaway From it All
After getting over the realization that it was further from the town of Dayton, TN than what was listed on the website, we had a very good time. A large part of the reason I booked the cabin was that proximity to Dayton. Once we made the decision to stay, we had a very peaceful and relaxing time. Richard was very kind and helpful if we needed anything. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to others.

Great rental on Lake Chickamauga
Richard was a great host and the property was as described. We were staying in the rental for two nights and had a fishing tournament. There was plenty of room for our boat and all had a great time. I would recommend to anyone staying in the Lake Chickamauga area.

The cabin and property looks great in the pictures, but it is even better in person. It exceeded our expectations. Communication was great, the place was clean and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend it, and we will stay again if we have the opportunity to visit the area again.

Perfect lakeside haven!
After almost two weeks on the road visiting Nashville / Memphis and New Orleans we needed some R & R. The location is a peaceful situation on the river lake. So much wildlife can be seen all around. Quiet and serene. We spent several hours on the boat deck just chilling and enjoying the sunshine & tranquility. Taking out the kayaks was a great extra. The cabin is roomy and so well equipped. Exceptionally clean and comfortable inside and out. The decks are a real treat and ideal for quiet time or socialising. As for the hosts Richard & Denise, friendly and accommodating throughout. Calling by and chatting with us and helpful with so many recommendations! Cleveland / Chattanooga interesting places to visit too. We highly recommend this gem of a house. Thank you Richard & Denise for sharing this home.
