This place is only good, certainly not excellent, because its location is very good( easy access to Cardiff, Bute Park and stadiums), it is very clean and the breakfasts are excellent.
However, the room and the ensuite were disappointingly small,especially for the price! Also, with the exception of the lovely breakfast girls, there was little warmth in the welcome at the main reception desk.Certainly, the least welcoming place we have stayed in for a while!

Bright & spacious property at an excellent location. Everything is at walking distance whether it's entertainment, restaurants, groceries,, public transport, attractions etc etc.

It’s such a special place for us to stay. The hotel holds such lovely memories of our wedding day. It’s been developed even more now, but tastefully, holding its true identity in style and decor, with the more modern twists where needed.
Every staff member is friendly, the food is delicious, lounge areas comfy, outside areas maintained and modern, and the views over Cardiff and out to sea are wonderful. Our room in the older part of the hotel was quirky and so comfortable with lovely views, warm, spacious and the most comfortable bed possible.
We can’t fault The New House Country Hotel. It’s worth every penny to stay there.
