"booked pan pac suzhou to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. the staff prepared a whole cake with candles, disposable plates, and a birthday crown for us enjoy. the entire hotel summarises the suzhou experience you will have. even if you are unable to make it to the popular touristy spots, you have a pagoda and secret garden exclusive for hotel guests right at your door. the location will take you slightly longer to reach the main area of suzhou due to the traffic. however, if you are looking for quiet sanctuary with everything you need, then this is is the hotel for you. the hospitality is excellent and pan pac suzhou looks like a museum by itself. they have a very detailed map to help tourists plan their trip around suzhou as well.
little downside: the walls of the hotel room is thin (as is most hotels in china). but that shouldn't deter you from booking at all. you will not regret staying here! "
"I've stayed in many hotels in China, and this is the best I've ever been in.
The Internet is fantastic ... I could just carry on business as usual.
The fitness center is good and very well maintained.
The bar had a fantastic gin and tonic, and they even stayed open late for jetlagged me.
I had a huge stack of student papers I needed to scan in, and they gladly did it for me.
The English level was surprisingly good. Only two people couldn't handle my requests: the omlette chef (and I was able to finish in Chinese) and the poor guy I asked to scan my paper (I had no idea how to say "feed scanner" in Chinese).
Room was big, clean, and had a fantastic view.
My only complaints are that I wish they had regular water at breakfast and I couldn't find the bathroom light switch for a while.
Already thinking about excuses to come back."
"Amazing property with professional staff and buffet breakfasts were tasty with great variety of selections. Will definitely book it again in the future! "
"Room condition is excellent especially the bathroom which is very spacious and warm with separate air conditioning control. The landing area is a nice touch. Bed is very comfortable. TV is big and sharp. The only thing is that we did not get a welcome fruit platter which we got all the other hotels. View from the window is also great. Hotel is one block walk from nearest subway station. Neighbourhood is quiet and appears somewhat upmarket."
"It was so nice and service was amazing. Only complaint was that the room lighting was very dim. Hard to get good lighting in front of the mirrors and sometimes hard to see when I needed to do work"
