"Staying at this rental was a wonderful experience. We are a picky bunch but this place was clean to our standards with no musty or chemical smells. The place is beautifully decorated, the views of the water are stunning, and the beds are comfortable. To top it off, check in and out instructions were clear and concise. At check-out, no ten-step chore list like some hosts make you do was very much appreciated and made for a quick and easy process so we had more time to enjoy our stay. Would absolutely stay again on future trips to Harkers Island."

"My husband and I rented this little place to just get away for our anniversary. We love to fish so we were outside by the canal most of the time. The sunrises and sunsets are GORGEOUS. The camper is clean and neat and was all we needed! If there is a breeze there are no mosquitoes so just being a little bug spray. However, there are tiki torches with citronella that help. Adam is very responsive and is a wonderful host. The neighborhood is quiet. There are also some chickens there and I absolutely loved seeing them every day!! It’s close to Harkers Island and there are a LOT of places to sit and fish and put your boat in. We enjoyed our stay very much!!"

"This is our fifth(?) VRBO stay, and by far the most comfortably furnished accommodation we've stayed in. There was every comfort thought of and provided, and the rooms were inviting and so comfortable, we were able to enjoy the space and rest. The owner was very communicative and kind, but not overbearing. I cannot recommend this property enough! "

"Great house in a remote location with a pier that is perfect for fishing. The property is nice, the elevator works and there is plenty of space for parking.
With that said, there are a few things that would be helpful to know:
One of the full bathrooms is in the garage and not close to the bedrooms.
One of the bedrooms is in a closet. You walk through one of the other bedrooms and that bedroom's closet to get to it. The small bed takes up the entire room and may be difficult for some to get in and out of.
Be careful with the steps going to the third floor. The rise for each step varies by as much as 2". Also, some of the handrails are loose.
It seems like the owners live there full-time. There were a number of condiments in the refrigerator and there was food in the freezer upon arrival.
There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms, so you will want to bring some."
