When you're used to normal "Best Western" type standards for a hotel, the Black Gold Inn is clearly below those standards. First, it smells bad; in the lobby, in the hallways, and in the room. Secondly, the non-friendly attendant tried to argue that the price indicated for my 2 night booking was for 1 night and wanted to charge me that price for each night, which was clearly wrong and made no sense. It took a lot on insisting for him to finally look closely into it until he said "Oh yeah, you're right". Don't expect any perks like coffee, a pool or hot tub, key cards, a box of kleenex or any such conveniences either. I also didn't really expect to have to wake up the attendant from their sleeping on the couch in the back of the office when checking out in the morning.
