"This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse. I thought the description could have been more detailed: I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. "

"This apartment was so beautiful and located next to a charming Main Street with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and cute shops. It was perfect for the 3 of us at the end of our trip. It’s pretty close to Acadia National Park without all the regular drama of the crowd in Bar Harbor."

The owner was super responsive to all of our questions. Location is perfect as it’s close to downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and is right by a beautiful river just down the street! "This property is advertised as close to Acadia, but it’s at least 30-40 minutes away. It’s about the same to Bar Harbor. The property is well stocked with what you need to stay. The owner added nice touches like body wash in case you forgot your own. There’s extra pillows and plenty of storage. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, this is it."
