Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds, staff excellent, food exceptional!

great location, near to the sea front and not far from the town centre. the room was on the top floor (4th) of the annex building which is on the west side of the road. I had the deluxe terrace room but unfortunately it was facing the city side (east) so I was not able to see the glorious sunset and sea views.. make sure you ask for a sea side terrace if booking this room. despite this disappointment, the terrace receives sunlight until early afternoon and the air conditioning is very strong and quiet. there is a small fridge in the room but only one plug so you have to unplug the fridge if you want to use the coffee machine... an easy fix for the hotel to resolve. the room itself is spacious but the table is very small and there is no armchair or sofa to relax in. there are too many wardrobe cabinets so they should remove some of these to make space for a chair and larger table. the bathroom is big with two sinks and a powerful rain shower. I also left my headphones in the room but didn't realise until the following day when I was in Spain.. but noone from the hotel has contacted me despite me messaging them through Expedia where I made the booking. overall, it is value for money compared to the expensive hotels in the area but as noted above there are things that could be better

A pleasant stay at Le Garage. We liked our room and had a tiny outdoor seating area that was screened from the street and neighbouring terraces with a few plants. The reception and breakfast area was nicely designed. We didn’t use the outside pool area at Le Garage. It was smaller than expected and the entire garden area seemed to be covered in astroturf. Breakfasts were delicious and the staff were pleasant and polite. It’s great that you can use the facilities in the large hotel opposite, such as the spa and gym. This added to our stay. There are no amenities directly outside so it’s a good location for a quiet break. There is a lovely walk nearby around the lighthouse with spectacular views. The 20 minute or so walk into Biarritz is downhill and very pleasant, passing beautiful buildings. You can cut in to walk along the coastline too.
