8/10 Very Good! (18,491 reviews)
The best thing about Planet Hollywood is the location in the middle of the strip, so if you're prepared to walk everything on the strip is accessible on foot. I arrived just before 2pm on a Monday and was annoyed to be told I would have to pay $35 for an early check-in (normal check-in is 4pm). This is probably standard in Vegas but it's not a good start. factor this in if you've got an early flight. The room was spacious and quiet, with minimal noise from other rooms or outside the hotel. The bathroom had a shower and a huge standalone bath. It felt basic and not exactly luxurious and could probably do with some updating. The typical extortionate resort charge promises wifi for two devices. But on attempting to connect the second device it tried to charge me claiming I had already connected two devices. I called the IT helpline and they were able to rectify this efficiently but it was still irritating. Earl of Sandwich is a great inexpensive dining option. The hotel is basically on a par with other midrange options on the strip but its location is a definite advantage. If the price is right I would stay here again but I wouldn't pay a premium to do so.
