Refused entry of a booked room after a very long drive.

Was a great experience! The check-in was easy and the room was clean and comfortable.

I have stayed here several times. This last time I had a suite and it smelled like cats. The property does allow pets, but that was not well received. I will give them another try. The staff and location are the redeeming quality.

The hotel certainly had its charms but felt geared to senior citizens. Super historic, heavy decor throughout the public spaces, but the room we had in the north wing was modern enough. I knew it was a historic hotel going in but expected something a bit more airy and less haunted house. The location was great but there is only valet parking and no self parking lot. Hit and miss on a busy street made it almost impossible. The amenities were sadly lacking. Super small “gym”, no pool or hot tub, no gift shop or sundry shop, room service was very limited and negligent. Staff wasn’t that interested in service or that friendly. Overall I’d give it a 3.0, mainly for location. Unless you’re into Victorian era furnishings and a dark, heavy feel. Could be fun for Halloween 👻 For the price I was quite disappointed 👎
