Great staff. The rooftop terrace was a nice place to relax with a commanding view of the Médina. I called from the blue gate and Badr met me to show the way. Some of the most gracious, friendly and honest staff ever. I would definitely stay here again. The stairs are not for the infirm though.
Very accommodating, welcoming and informative host. They arranged transfers and guided us to the apartment which has amazing decor. Lavish Moroccan style breakfast. Good advice on where to eat.

Road les idrissides was a comfy place with good service. It's a little difficult to find using Google maps but once you get there you'll enjoy your stay. The rooftop has great views and it's a great location near the blue gate.

Family house
Riad Les Idrissides is really small house hotel. If you are looking for sthg, which will capture the atmosphere of Maroko you can definitely choose this one. However, the rooms are quite small and close to common living room, so its not that comfortable to be in the toilet and hear someone in the living room and opposite if you know that I mean. They don't speak english very well, but owner is communicative and helpful person. Rest of the crew don't speak english at all. Nevertheless, It is really nice and family place in the good location.
A perfect location for Fes. Minutes walk from the Bab Baglout gate with luggage, we were greeted by the hotel owner, who is both welcoming and wise. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. An oasis but a few short steps from the frenzy of the marketplace, though Fes is more spiritual than the chaos of Marrakesh. The view from the roof was an exquisite view of the entire Medina. Breakfast was Moroccan scrumptious. We stayed a week. We were lucky enough to have been there for a "festival" which the owners put on periodically: an oud player intoning local music, dancing, great food, and a wonderful glimpse of Berber/Moroccan celebration. Truly a wonderful experience! Hope to return with family.

Good budget Riad in the heart of the Medina
Very close to the main drag/main gate and the woman who runs the place was super friendly. This is not the most luxury riad in Fes and our twin room was a little small but a main salon right outside and a lovely rooftop terrace give you other options for chilling. Like lots of places in Fes, it can be hard to find at first. But it has pretty good signage and once you find it, it's easy to find your way to and from.
The Riad was simple but had everything we needed for a pleasant stay in Fez. The staircase access to our room was very narrow and steep so not easy for anyone with physical restrictions, but our room was full of character.
The decor was simple but authentic.
