HOWEVER, nothing in the concession area except some chips and Sprite; no coffee maker in the room, not even plastic cups; no hair dryer in the room; the new mattresses still had the original plastic wrap on them so the bed crinkled every time you moved. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the interior design with the dual staircase and upper seating area was beautiful. It also had a nice pool area and outside seating. It does not necessarily compete with your chains like Holiday Inn, etc because it does need some updating (small dresser/t.v./bathroom tub) so may not be idea for family with kids, but they are rennovating. Our room was all laminate, no carpet and the ceilings looked like they had just been done. Full hot breakfast was also available. They was overheard more than once saying it's too many blacks. My family had rooms and total, each one of us experience the racist talk, the rude behavior, and will we weren't welcome. And when this was discussed with the hotel manager the next business day, on Monday. She stated it was nothing she could do. She informed me she had seen the videos that she had heard from another staff member how rude they were but that only the owners of the hotel could do anything about it that she is a manager and could do nothing.
