“This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. “The apartment was comfortable, clean, tidy and convenient for access to the racecourse or for access to York by car. It’s about a half hour walk to the city centre. There's a local bakery and convenience store nearby and we found on street parking for one car. In the first floor apartment, There’s a small kitchen with a full cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge and washer dryer. The dining table only seats four so you may need to also sit on a bed. The beds are comfortable with bedding and towels……

“The lodge was in such a great location. It was such a good size with everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and the garden so relaxing. We only stayed two nights and were out a lot of the time so I feel we didn’t get the full benefit of the lodge and area. I hope to return for longer at some point in 2026”

"Great location! Around 5 mins walk from the rail station. The room is premium and large. Well equipped with everything you need (except I didn't see a fridge though). The breakfast is nice exceythe black pudding is a bit dry. Two things I was not that satisfied. 1) there's some kind of smell like humidity. But ofc I got used to it in 5 mins... 2) I sometimes heard leaking (should be water going from the tubes but sounds like leaking). However all the rests are above my expectations so I still rate 5 star."
