Perfection
“Above It All” far exceeded our expectations. The house was immaculately maintained and no details were overlooked. The view from the top deck was stunning. It truly feels as if you are above it all. We also enjoyed hanging out on the bottom deck, grilling and enjoying the hot tub. The pool was conveniently located next door and was never busy. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of games for us to play during our down time. The beds were very comfortable and our 10-year-old especially loved the cozy nook. It was nice being close to downtown Gatlinburg and the National Park, while still having the luxury of staying in a private and calm neighborhood. Bonus points for bear sightings! Kent was great to work with. He responded quickly to our questions and created a very helpful guidebook for our stay. I highly recommend this property!!!

Great spot to enjoy the Smokirs
Wonderful house perched high on the mountain. The house is spacious without being huge. Kitchen is small but functional. Hot tub was a nice touch at the end of a long day. I would definitely stay here again.

The house is beautiful and had everything we needed and more. The quality of everything in the house is top notch and seemed new not like some rentals where everything is well used. The view was spectacular! Loved all the deck furniture and the hot tub was very nice. Highly recommend this rental.

Romantic getaway
My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend in this lovely home. The location was plenty close to great hiking, activities, and restaurants but far enough off the main path to enjoy true tranquility. This place was very cute, nicely appointed and clean. We would definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful time staying at this Chalet. Kent is a fabulous host and made the entire process seamless. It is clear that he wants his guests to have a perfect place to stay. Every room is a comfortable place to relax. The decks are a great place to dine or just sit and enjoy the sunrise/sunset. The kids love the upstairs area where they could play foosball or watch TV. The kitchen is stocked with all the right pots/pans, appliances, & utensils which allowed us to easily cook when we wanted to. The host put together a perfect Guidebook for the area. I highly recommend this Chalet for your next getaway!

All-Around Fabulous Stay
We stayed for a week with our grown GenZ sons as a rare family getaway (hard to do with everyone's work/college schedules). Very easy check-in and the house smelled clean and fresh, contemporary tasteful decor, comfy couch, and we all loved the mattresses. Wifi is always a big concern for us as we own a business that requires remote working, even on vacations, but we shouldn't have worried as Wifi was awesome, had no problems whatsoever. TV's in everyone's bedroom was a nice touch, not many cabins do that. Checkout list/cleaning was very reasonable. Little details can make or break a stay and the hosts thought of everything. Also got to see lots of wildlife in the area which for us was very thrilling. We all agreed that this was a great choice for our vacation. 5 out of 5 stars from us!

Spring Break getaway!
My daughters (14yrs and 8yrs) and I really enjoyed staying at this lovely home on the mountaintop in Gatlinburg for Spring Break! We were amazed by how far up we drove (to a cul de sac at the very top!) and the unbelievable views at that elevation. The house was beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped with everything we needed...not a single detail was overlooked. We loved lounging on the two back decks. My teenager brought her ps5 and easily hooked it up to the TV in the upstairs gaming corner with the provided HDMI cable. We enjoyed some very competitive games of foosball and Connect 4 throughout our stay! I loved relaxing in the living room with the fireplace and a glass of wine. But of course our favorite part of each day was unwinding in the hot tub! The bedroom on the main level has a roomy en suite bathroom, but I opted to stay in the larger upstairs room with the king bed and double doors that open onto the upper deck. TVs in all 3 bedrooms were a plus. We ventured out and had a great time exploring downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, both an easy drive away. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely visit again!

Awesome trip
Our 5 day stay was awesome. Kent provided everything you would need in the house and it was truly 5 star. We loved the view from the top of the mountain and the hot tub. Kent was very responsive with checking in and also let us check in an hour early from a 6 hour drive. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Also - the king bed upstairs provided some of the best sleep I’ve ever had!! Thanks for everything, we had an awesome stay!

Lovely Mountain Home
I brought my nephews up for a long weekend and we had the best time! They loved the elevation and the view from the jacuzzi! The hosts were a pleasure to work with and really made the check in process simple! We appreciated all of the details in the information email! We will definitely book Above It All again!!

The Best of Everything
We have rented in the Gatlinburg area for over 15+ years now. Above it All was one of the best cabin rentals we have experienced. The owners have gone out of their way to stock the cabin with all the extras that make a difference ( spices, coffee, cleaning supplies, toiletries, hot tub towels & more). The neighborhood & views are outstanding not to mention the 2 decks & outdoor living that the owners have created for the enjoyment of mother earth. The beds are fantastic & you will leave wanting to rent again. Great for families and couples wanting to visit the Smokey Mountains to explore but also relax & unwind in a great home.

Comfortable
The property was well maintained and had ample room for me, my wife, two kids, and parents. It’s at the top of a mountain, so don’t expect quick trips back and forth to the store, but if you plan ahead and bring what you need, the house is a good place to hang out. Check in and check out were easy, the Wi-Fi was adequate for all of us to do what we wanted (mostly streaming), and the kitchen had enough utensils and pans for cooking good meals.

Wonderful Stay
I came here for a girls' weekend with some friends and we all had a great time! The chalet was clean, bright and airy, and well equipped with basic necessities! The location was beautiful and nestled high up for privacy. We all enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation returning! Kent was great with communication throughout are stay and reached out immediately upon arrival to ensure all our needs were met. All in all a great experience!
