"We loved our room with the balcony area that provided a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff were very welcoming and spoke English which was very helpful! Beds were super cozy and the room had ample space for moving around and storing our luggage. We also loved that there was onsite parking."

"One of the worst travel experiences we've ever had - completely unprofessional and disrespectful. By looking at other people's reviews, it appears that we are not the only travelers to have our booking cancelled by Hotel Vacanceole without notice. Concerned by an email we received, we called our travel agent twice to confirm that our booking was still valid - and were reassured both times that the Hotel said the room was still available. After reaching the hotel, we arrived only to find out our room had been given away. No notice, no explanation, and no effort to make things right. There is no person attending the “reception desk” – this is not a hotel. To make matters worse, when we tried to call the company’s central reservations line, they said that they "don’t speak English” and hung up on us. Unacceptable behavior from any hospitality provider, let alone in the tourism industry. This experience was not only a major disruption to our trip, but also a glaring example of how not to treat guests. We strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this property or company. There are better options for real hotels directly across the street."

Despite this, it is important to park in exactly the right spot (in the underground garage)- The lights in the underground garage and hallways turn off frequently (seemingly every 30 seconds) leaving you in total darkness (alarming if you’re not expecting it)- take the elevator to floor 5 even though the unit is numbered 76- some of the better information was contained in a separate email from the host, the VRBO app had almost none of the important detailsDisappointing to note that previous guests had left soiled laundry and the host was unbothered by the idea that the place hadn’t been cleaned since its last use. Not a single towel was available, not even a hand towelOverall, not great. The host communication was exceptional, over and above what would be expected, which salvaged some of the experience. The amenities in the kitchenette seemed fine and exactly as described. "
