"Beautiful, and great for a weekend birthday getaway! We enjoyed our stay - clean, comfortable, and could have our dog with us. We used the fire pit each morning, had it all to ourselves. Club 51 close by (walking distance) with wonderful food and drinks. B&B Adventures close by to rent utv, slingshot, pontoon boat, or snowmobile. "

"Nice place with plenty of room. The kitchen was clean and even had an air fryer and blender. The queen bed was a bit soft for my taste but that is a preference not a requirement. The local bakery, Bread of Life, had wonderful pastries and pasties. Joe checked in with us a couple times just to be sure everything was great. And it was. We were near plenty of great places to hike and enjoy the area. If we come back to this part of the UP, we will be checking here again. "

"This property is definitely like my normal hotels that I usually stay at, but thought I would give it a chance. It is an older property, but is very clean. For me, it was just a bed and shower that I needed, and it was good for me."

"As my wife put it, this place was a perfect mix of things she likes (especially a dark bedroom) and I like (especially the skylight bedroom). Beyond the bedrooms we both enjoyed the spacious common areas, the rooftop patio, the hot tub, everything was perfect. Also appreciated an early check-in when some of our activities that day were cut short by the air quality! Hope to stay again when we're back in the area. "

"Beautiful property! Was nicely tucked back in a secluded area with a beautiful yard. It had a nice firepit and chairs and even stocked with wood for fires. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were also convenient. The sauna looked interesting too we were just a little too busy to use it. Kitchen was stocked and convenient. We enjoyed the Norwegian spruce in the front yard also would recommend!"

"This was a yearly vacation. The house was very nice. Decorated really well. There could have been more towels, but we did wash a load. Any problems we had were quickly resolved. Came for golf and fishing. Had 1 day of rain so went shopping. Restaurants were all friendly. "

"The listing lacked a lot of vital details.1) the rooms are underneath a very busy commercial space. We were directly underneath a bar room and the sliding of chairs, talking and music carried on into the night. The music not only came through the ceiling above us, but was piped out into the backyard for bar patrons who went outside to smoke to listen to it.2) the location is quite remote. Some cars might not be able to get down the potholed gravel roads, depending on which route you use to get there. 3) there were zero instructions for how to find the owner and check in. We went to the wrong building owned by a neighbor at 1st, and then we went into the tavern. The employees of the owner directed us to our room and they were quite pleasant.4)There were three very bright ceiling lights in the living space. No lamps, no nightlight. If you need to get up in the middle of the night, it would be bright lights or nothing.5) the bathroom towels are actually very nice. There was a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and a mini fridge (which was turned off) There were no utensils, no plates, cups, etc. just the appliances and four disposable coffee cups.there was a couch, an easy chair, and a bistro table with four chairs, but no coffee tables to set your beverages on or your food plates on.6) we did get supper at the bar and it was very tasty and the staff was very pleasant."
