The hotel's location was perfect, allowing us to walk to the buses and from the finish line. While this is an older hotel, it is clean and roomy - perfect for our one night stay. Checkout time was extended for the runners, so we had plenty of time to clean up after the race. They also opened breakfast 30 minutes early for anyone who wanted to grab something before leaving for the race. The TV needs an upgrade, but the free wi fi more than made up for it. Interesting location in the shadow of a MS River levee. No pool and weak wifi so not a motel to lounge around in. However, room was clean with comfy bed, flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. Room was also larger than most king bed rooms with plenty of floor space. In room coffee was quite good. When we went to check in, I asked to look at the room I would be occupying. As soon as I walked into the room, I knew that I could not possibly spend the night in it. There was an awful odor in the room and also in the hallway leading to the room.
