“We stayed off season and the weather could have been better. We had an issue with the door lock which could have been avoided if the key code had been texted or emailed instead of spoken over a poor connection. The cottage was clean and roomy. We stayed in the 1st floor bedroom which really needs a new mattress. The location is perfect for viewing Lake Huron without obstruction. Even with the windows closed you can hear the waves lap the shore.”

“We came up to explore the Lake Huron side of the state, and this location was perfect. Some days we went south, and some north, and everything was within 30-40 minutes. The home is very clean, and well supplied. We particularly appreciated the coffee supplies, washer and dryer and being allowed to bring our greyhounds. “This home was very well appointed and located very close to town, right on the Au Sable river! We stayed here spring break/Easter weekend to do some fishing and get away and the best part of the trip was definitely this house. “The place was small and quaint. Overall our stay was great, the area was nice, and the cottage comfortable. I did not see a microwave which was a bummer but not a dealbreaker. I also noticed the fire alarm was missing. I strongly believe that needs to be in place. The yard was not upkept, nor very aesthetically pleasing, but didnt necessarily affect the quality of our stay. “The house was perfect for our whole family. Plenty of room and Benji was a very attentive host. Anything that came up during our stay he was easy to contact and very accommodating. We stayed in October and the surrounding area and the lake were beautiful. I am hoping to stay again but next time in the summer. Very pleasant experience!”

“Perfect weekend!! We made a lot of memories. The home was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and even supplied things no other rental we stayed at has. Clean, comfortable and very enjoyable!”

“Perfect place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet. Our cottage was right on the beach and we were the only ones there with another couple a couple doors down. The cottage was the perfect size and judt as described. The bed was so comfortable, a rare find when vacationing. The beach and water were perfect with lots of other things to do within a reasonable distance. We will definitely be making future trips up to discover more of the area.”

“We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. “Arrived at the property in the wee hours of the morning. Almost pitch black, I couldn’t find the lockbox. Thinking that the box was on the outside of the house, walked around for a hood twenty minutes before realizing that the box might be inside the house. That was keystone cop moment. “Views beautiful. Very serene & quiet, loved that. Nothing to do up there, which was fine with me. TV & cable, very out dated, if any. Bathroom needs an overhaul. Bugs in their. Deck needs a hand rail. First step is too steep. For a "To do nothing weekend " it was perfect, pretty much stayed outside. Never left the property, other than go to the store.”
