The Legacy is a classic summer cottage that’s just steps away from Fox Point beach. This much treasured family home is a place of stories and traditions that has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated to offer a warm welcome and be shared with vacationers looking for a comfortable, charming retreat.

The cottage has three bedrooms – two double and one single – as well as a pull down Murphy bed, sleeping 7 comfortably. Two full bathrooms. Family room, dining area, cosy seating nook, fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.

Outside there’s a deck equipped with furniture and barbecue. Good size private garden surrounded by trees, with fire pit and outdoor shower. Fox Point beach is reached by a very short walk from the end of the garden and across the road.

Great vacation
This was our second stay at Legacy and both times have been terrific! Everything we needed to enjoy our week. The grandchildren loved playing in the yard and frequent trips to the beach. Great spot for families or couples! Sad to say we will have outgrown this cottage by next vacation, or we would happily return! Mary Jo S and family

Great cottage, all requirements catered for, walking distance to a great beach, centrally located to visit Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Strongly recommend and will be back next summer 2020.

A wonderful week with family!
Legacy cottage was the perfect spot to bring our family (we're from Ontario and our daughter and her family live in Halifax) together for a vacation! The cottage is homey and inviting; clean, with all the amenities we needed. The yard was perfect for our 3 year old grandson to run around and burn off hisboundless energy and the deck was a nice spot to sit and enjoy the sun. The location is great - walking distance to the beach - and a short drive to Halifax when we needed to go in for a day. We would recommend Legacy to families or couples...it would suit either. Made our week in NS so much better
Situated right on the Lighthouse Route, the cottage matched all our expectations. We spent most days out visiting the area and took advantage of the property only in the evenings and early mornings, but the area is simply beautiful with Fox Point beach nearby. I am pretty sure this was my first time seeing a wild hummingbird as well. Our schedule was rather full but any downtime we spent there was appreciated. We enjoyed the available board and card games almost every evening. The smart TV has Roku for those interested, and can link up to Spotify. WIFI coverage was great and fast. The kitchen was well equipped and the kitchenware / dishes suitable for almost any need. Movement activated lights outside were very appreciated. We had intended to make a few campfires (one of the reasons we selected that spot) but risks of forest fires prevented that every day until our last evening when we were all too tired to actually do it. No one's fault but keep this in mind depending on when you visit. Paul quickly answered a question we had about waste disposal and knowing he was available toned down the worry about any unforeseen issues. I would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a spot near Peggy's cove and Lunenburg, with Halifax not too far away.

Wonderful little cottage right near the beach
We had a great family vacation with this cottage as our home base. Fox Point Beach was just a short walk down the hill. The cottage is set back from the road and the location is very private. There were seven of us and we each had a place to sleep comfortably. The house has a washer and dryer in the basement which came in handy. Lovely little deck with a grill, and a fire pit in the front. No real complaints other than it was hot that week and there is no air conditioning, but that is to be expected in Nova Scotia where they don't get the same intense summers we do in the States. Would love to go back someday.

Peaceful, spacious, renovated home steps away from Fox point beach- perfect for family getaway
We had a wonderful stay at the Legacy cottage with our three kids and our dog and highly recommend the property and central location for family getaways and exploring the South Shore. We checked out Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay and the Lunenburg area and also ventured farther afield. We really liked hanging out at the nearby large beach at Bayswater. We also enjoyed the community of Hubbards which has a lot to offer plus a pharmacy, liquor store and grocery store are all nearby which was very practical. The cottage is located on a beautiful, private wooded lot with a large lawn surrounded by mature trees and set safely back from the main road. Our boys (7 and 11) enjoyed playing soccer on the side lawn and watching the World Cup finals on the big screen tv. The house was spacious with an open living room and dining room and very well appointed kitchen. We had great family meals and played games on the vintage oversized coffee table/ crib board. The house is tastefully renovated with new bathrooms, a nice balance of new and vintage furnitures and decor, comfortable beds, new, appliances etc. There were several areas to sit and chat indoors and out. It was lovely to have Fox Point beach just steps away down the hill to go for a dip. The property manager was very agreeable and easy to get in touch with. He answered all of my questions promptly. we would definitely think of renting here again.
