"Clean, good breakfast,,accommodating staff. Delt mostly with Alexander & Marie. Alexander was excellent and Marie was outstanding. They gave a vibe like old friends, not just clerks. Would definitely stay again."

"I enjoy this cottage so much that I have booked a month-long visit twice and hope to do it again next year. The cottage is located at the end of the Piankatank River where it empties into the Chesapeake Bay. The views from the cottage, deck, and pier are lovely with incredible sunsets and sunrises. It is well stocked, very clean and comfortable. The hostess is quick to respond if there are any issues that need attention. To sum it all up, the stay there is almost like being at home but much more peaceful!"

"Quiet and secluded home, enjoyable relaxing either creekside on small deck or on larger deck at the house.. Sat by the creek early evening with no bugs..Well insulated to the point we could barely know the owners were upstairs… owners were very nice and helpful if needed…Like others noted a selection of snacks, spices, condiments were available, along with drinking water bottles…The appliances worked just fine, everything was clean… we need to cook meals while traveling, plenty of pots n pans, silverware and plates/bowls/cups, but did need to get some disposable baking pans when we got our groceries, but the nearby store had everything we needed…Loved the stock of sandwich/gallon type bags and other foils/wraps!Would stay again if in the area…"

"The house was clean and very well kept. So much space for eight of us. The kids loved the horses. The host was very nice. Would definitely book again. "

"The cottage is a treasure and the island is beautiful. Wonderful views of herons and other wildlife always outside the back windows! Our family of six (including four teenage boys) stayed comfortably at the house. It felt like borrowing a friend's well-stocked vacation home. Plenty of kitchen gear and dishes for cooking (which we used several nights). Things to consider: to access the Gloucester Point area, you must cross a draw bridge. It is a cool bridge to cross, but every time you go into Gloucester, you must pay a 2 toll. Also, you can be delayed if a ship is crossing. We had to wait 15-20 minutes one morning on our way to Williamsburg. Also, the property is well-decorated and cozy, but not brand new, and has a few quirks. We had some small ants in the kitchen, but the hosts had some bait traps out. Overall, I would highly recommend this unique stay if you are coming to the area!"
