"This stay was superb...so much so that we tried to extend. Unfortunately the days we wanted were already booked but the communication with the owners was nearly instantaneous and so appreciated. The home is comfy and exactly as represented in the pics. The yard is enormous which was appreciated by us and our pup. The walk to downtown Mathews was short and the town is sweet. If in the area in the future we will absolutely try to stay at this home again."

"Stayed at the Gloucester Point cottage for graduation weekend at CNU in nearby Newport News (pretty easy ~35 min drive to the campus). What a great find! The 360* views were spectacular with all kinds of waterfowl in the marshes off of the York River. The house was nicely equipped and furnished and perfect for a small family gathering. The Mills were very responsive to address questions/concerns. The outdoor property/deck provided an excellent venue for a family celebration. Unlike many rentals I’ve encountered, the grill was immaculate and perfect for our cook out. I would definitely stay again. There was a great selection of stores and local restaurants on the Gloucester side and accessible with a short drive to Yorktown which kept us close except for the trips to CNU for the campus events."

"The house is less than 100 yards from the beach. You can also walk to town in less than 10 minutes to enjoy shopping and food. Cape Charles is a family destination."

"We stayed there for Moms funeral. The staff was informative and friendly, the breakfasts reasonable and the location to where we needed to be with family convenient. We’re grateful for the bed and the space but there’s no place like home!"

"You do have a golf cart available in the front of the hotel. You really should have someone drive people to & from the parking lots. A few times coming in to the hotel at night there is insufficient lighting and no-one ever to ride you back from the parking lots."
