Our stay was extremely disappointing. The shower was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The air conditioner was very loud and barely cooled the room, making it difficult to get comfortable. We also felt unsafe during our stay. Several guests were gathered outside drinking and being loud until around 11:00 p.m., and I noticed empty whiskey bottles in the area. The carpet and lampshades were visibly dirty, adding to the poor overall condition of the room. This was the worst hotel accommodation we have experienced. I am very disappointed and do not believe this property meets the standards that should be associated with the Wyndham name.

The front desk staff that I dealt with were fantastic. All of them were friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room was fine, too. We purposely chose a location with a pool, because after our 8 hour drive, we wanted to let off steam; unfortunately, the pool was empty, except for a few inches of dirty water at the bottom. We decided to work out instead, but the fitness center was closed as well. That was disappointing. Other than that, it was fine.

The hotel recently had a fire and they were working on the entire 2nd floor. The TV remote in my room did not work. I didn't even bother asking the front desk person about it. I asked.about a bottled water and was told it was on the second floor. It was actually just a soda machine with no water and only took cash. Given the data center being built in Abilene, they are charging what they can get away with which was $166 for one night.
