Laurel Fork Falls is only 0.5 miles down the road and beautiful Watauga Lake and the Cherokee National Forest 5 miles away. Difficulty locating / musty odor
Had difficulty locating after arriving late at night. Went to location provided with GPS. Walked around the building and was confronted by a man apparently hanging out behind the building which startled us to say the least. Decided to go find another room to rent for the night so ended up having to drive into Kingsport. Nevertheless, went back the next day to try to find. Wasn’t well marked. Ended up paying for two rentals for the night which cost us well over $500 total for the night. Otherwise, the place after it was located appeared clean but it had a strong musty odor to it. Unfortunately we will not go back. Sorry… just being honest.

Loved the location for hiking on Roan Mountain and around Watauga Lake. Place has a ton of character and is the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. Great little porch. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Perfect stay for two friends!
Property had everything we needed and was very clean. Instructions were clear. Beds were comfortable. We even had Netflix! It’s close to the Appalachian trail, waterfalls and we enjoyed the Saturday evening car show!

Loved Lou's Loft
Lou's loft was the perfect place to stay for hiking and the Nascar races at Bristol. I stayed with my kids and felt safe coming in late at night with them. I will definitely stay again if I am coming to the area. It was super clean and felt like a home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Loft. It was only for one night due to a business trip and it was exactly as we had hoped. Location and parking were great. The best this about the property is that it is CLEAN!!! That is our number one must have when staying somewhere and the Loft is clean and comfortable.
