The hotel needs an update. The main hotel is cute and rustic. The hotel with the beds is musty smelling, beds were comfortable but it just feels old. The pool needs a clean up and the walls need to be refreshed. The breakfast was a simple continental not too exciting. It was expensive for a hotel. It is nice they provide a BBQ, not sure how clean it is. We did use the outdoor firepit. The outdoor pool was not working, the grounds need to be cleaned up

I really enjoyed my last minute booking at The Dudley Inn. As a newcomer to the area I was relieved as soon as I entered my room. The owners put a great deal of thought into making the room exceptional. The beds were so fresh and comfortable that I thought I was in a resort. I was very grateful to the air conditioning system and the added bonus of an air purifier. They thought of many details such as the refrigerator, microwave, and high end coffee maker. The bathroom was huge with gorgeous tiling and high end shampoos and conditioners. The charming town of Bala was 10 minutes away and I would highly recommend the croissants at Jack & Stella to start your day1

We had an amazing stay! The staff is lovely and very efficient. The place was very clean. Beds were comfy and very clean as well. We had everything we needed and the beach was beautiful. There was always a canoe there when we wanted to go for a paddle no matter what time of day. (They were never all out) We had a fire every night. The lake is spectacular with the Oxtongue river just a 15 min paddle away. We hope to return in the near future.

Room was clean, but did have a bit of a smell at first, but it did seem to calm down after we had balcony door open for a bit. Staff did not advise that we could ask for towels to use at the pool. The rooms are positioned very high on the property, but unfortunately you can’t really see the lake due to the trees blocking the view. Kitchen in our unit was awesome. Room was very spacious. Really liked the layout of the living area and separate bedroom. The staff at the Touchstone Grill restaurant was great. The food was EXCELLENT! Overall, it was a great 2 day stay at Touchstone Resort and look forward to getting back there again soon.
