"I would stay there again, just hope they add more local dishes to their menu and find a way to maintain the bad portion of the road leading up to the place."

"The hotel was a short drive to Moshi, while being far enough away from hustle and bustle. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating- even going so far as to check I was well when I slept in after a long hike at Kilimanjaro. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area."

"I loved the staff so friendly. Manager helped me with a cheaper route to the waterfall. Location wasn't the best as I need a ride to get anywhere but at least rides are cheap. Just be careful of not getting a agreed price before you go anywhere. As it will start at 2k and jump to 10k for little to no reason....the pool was very clean. And rooms were very nice. Asked for a air-conditioning...same day they INSTALLED it!!! Food was good. Really really loved the staff. Soo kind and some even knew...

"We really enjoyed our stay. Simon, Robert and Samuel were all friendly and really helpful. Walking around the house, lunch to the nearby restaurant and the moto rental to tour around Kili are only some of the highlights. "

"Very nice place to stay while exploring the Kilimanjaro area. Staff is super friendly and the pool is wonderful! Cottages are basic, but clean and food is good! Really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone who want to be close to Kilimanjaro! "

"As a travel writer documenting experiences around the world, I rarely write negative reviews. Unfortunately, my stay at East Point Hotel in Moshi was overshadowed by an act of deception and theft.
My experience began very positively. I was warmly welcomed by Nice and Remmy, whose hospitality was exceptional. Although Remmy had already finished her shift, she insisted on helping me go into town to buy a specific item, especially meaningful as I use a wheelchair. She ensured my safety, helped negotiate prices, and checked on me throughout my stay. Nama (Grace) even returned to the hotel after going home, leaving her children to prepare meal for me. Their kindness truly represented outstanding service
Everything changed at checkout with Joan, a staff member.
After paying my bill, I entrusted her with an amount of cash to distribute as a thank-you to Remmy, Nice, and Nama. She agreed, as the women were off duty.
Days later, I called the hotel, all 3 confirmed they had received nothing. I called Joan but the manager answered. He said he will follow up. Joan text me and admitted that she kept the money for herself.
To this day, I have received no follow-up from the manager, Joan, or the staff confirming whether the money was ever returned to them.
My advice to future guests: do not entrust Joan with money, and consider choosing another hotel until management addresses this issue.
The exceptional staff deserve honest leadership, and guests deserve transparency and trust. "
"Beautiful setting by Kilimanjaro and near KCMC hospital. Lovely pool - well kept. Very nice spacious room.
Top notch staff. Super welcoming and v helpful. Esp Jenny on reception.
Hope to come again! "
"Primeland is a small first class boutique hotel and highly recommended. Its 3 star rating belies its quality. The only drawback is that the very clean standard double rooms, although very well appointed, are small. This can easily be overcome by booking a twin room (for a few pounds more) and requesting the removal of the single bed. The breakfast is limited but quite adequate and the lunch / dinner menu extensive for the size of the hotel. The grilled Nile Perch is highly recommended as is the Beef Pizza but all the food is both well cooked and presented, with local representatives. The Beef Samosas are equal to any in the subcontinent or souks of the Middle East. The service is most attentive. The swimming pool, while not Olympic size, is more than large enough for recreational swimming and has a bar area adjoining. The pool, which can be viewed from the restaurant has alternating colour lighting in the evening. The hotel building and pool are surrounded by a pleasant and varied well kept garden. It is located in an area outside the centre with indigenous shops and housing but is only a 7 minute (€1.5) tuktuk ride from the town centre and the local Mbuyeni market. Finally, and by no means least, in appropriate cloud conditions it has an excellent view of the peak of Kilimanjaro above a local foreground of trees. A self parking area is provided within the walled security area which is controlled by a Masai guard as well as a local uniformed security company.10+/10."
"We loved staying at Kibo Palace. Everyone was very supportive of our every need. Lovely hotel with lovely staff. They tried very hard to anticipate our wants. The chefs fixed oatmeal for breakfast and made me very happy. "
"I stayed one night upon arrival to Moshi. I was warmly greeted late at night. Check in was super easy. They take a copy of your passport. My room - even though I’d booked a single - was much larger and had a double & single beds. Room was clean and tidy with enough plugs for charging your gadgets. There were toiletries including toothbrushes, soap, shampoo & lotion. Breakfast was included and I even got a nice chef-made omelette. They have a nice sitting area by the pool or you can sit inside. The lodge is quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure how to get the hot water to work but to me the water was lukewarm. Good enough for a quick cleansing. "
"This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend Shose if you are in the Moshi area. Starting with the warm welcome from Benson at the front desk to the wonderful service and great recommendations for dinner from our waiter Ismail, we were very pleased with choosing Shose Farmhouse! We were 2 couples and all agreed that the rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious and the bed super comfortable! Also enjoyed a hot soak in the outdoor tub on the balcony overlooking green fields and Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance! A special thank you to Benson who arranged for my iphone left mistakenly in the taxi arranged by the hotel, to be returned to me! "
