"The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that.
House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead."

THE HOTEL HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO TOKYU, A Pan Pacific Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The TV is equipped with Netflix and other streaming services and easy to use. The location is superb for exploring Gion and Higashiyama, and not far from a metro station to get to the rest of town.
The free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station is a nice bonus.
The one negative is that the gym is quite small, with only a few free weights and a treadmill. If that matters to you, consider a guest membership at a nearby local gym or a different hotel. "
"Good size room. Very clean. Nice and quiet location, but walkable to the main street and train access. Good breakfast. Super friendly staff. Great amenities. Washer/dryer worked great. "
