Kailua-Kona Ocean View Condo

My airconditioned condo is located a block from the Ocean and gets cool ocean breezes during the day and has a great Ocean View.

It is located in the center of town and is within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a farmers market where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Lanai (balcony) faces west so you can enjoy the sunsets every evening.

The condo sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.

We provide all linen, towels, beach towels, soap and shampoo.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in Laury's condo in Kona on our 25th anniversary trip. It was exactly what we were looking for! The kitchen was really well stocked with everything . He had chairs towels cooler umbrella snorkeling equipment for the beach everything was walkable at this location. He was leaving the condo when we arrived so we got to meet him and talk for a minute made us feel very welcome definitely try the oranges and limes he left as welcome gifts so very delicious!! Kona home base

Small and efficient unit in an older property close to restaurants and a good home base to area activities. We had a very pleasant stay and John was responsive to out questions.

Kona Getaway

Loved the place! Comfortable, clean, AMAZING view. Located so close to downtown/ali’i drive. barely had to drive for anything we did in kona. Has everything you need. FAST internet if you need to work.

Convenient location, cozy accommodations

Great condo, photos show what you have. The bed was very comfortable. The owner was very easy to reach and provided answers to questions very quickly. Convenient parking, love that you must use key to access elevator. Pool is very small, but there are several beaches within a short walk. Short walk to main restaurants and shops. A lovely trip, can't wait to return!

Great location for Ironman, everything we needed.

The condo was perfect for our stay in Kona for the Ironman World Championships, location was within walking distance of key race areas however having a hire car meant we really made the most of the area. The condo was perfect for 2 people with everything provided including snorkels, basics for cooking, coffee, toiletries etc. Aircon if needed but we didn’t use. The Americans love their vehicles and it could be noisy on the road at night (loud revving etc) but this didn’t interfere too much for us. Easy to use washing machine and dryer on site also. Comms and booking with Laury was super easy and we appreciated everything the condo offered. Highly recommend, we would love to come back. Mahola

30th Anniversary

Couldn’t have had a better time in Kona! Condo was clean, comfortable, updated, with a very convenient location (walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops—don’t miss the craft fair every third Sunday when they close Ali’i Dr!). The sunsets from the balcony were amazing! John and Candi also have plenty of beach paraphernalia to enjoy restful days doing nothing except getting a tan while sticking your toes in the sand! Only downside was having to leave 😢. We will definitely be back!

Condo Rental

This condo had everything we needed without overdoing the amenities and appearing to try to hard. I do not usually say anything about the bed but a lot of people do comment so I will add that the bed was extremely comfortable for me. This condo does not have air condition but has nice ceiling fans and a table top fan; we were very comfortable. The view was nice. Walking distance to everything - lagoon, shops, restaurants, beach. If you tend to sightsee this location is just right and middle of what we wanted to see. We drove up to Kohala Mountain and to the southern most tip of US.

We survived hurricane Lane!

Our vacation. Started the day Lane was to hit, fortunate for us she turned away and we were able to enjoy our vacation! This condo as others have indicated is very comfortable and well appointed. The lanai was a great space to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while listening to the ocean. Make the time to visit with the full time residents of the building...they hooked us up on some great places to eat, places to see turtles, and some great beaches to enjoy the sun and ocean. A tip if you plan to do laundry or buy bulk water....we couldn’t find anywhere to make change short of hitting the bank. My only suggestion I can think of is that it would have been nice to have a 2nd set of keys, but we were a group of 4 that split up occasionally. Can’t wait to return to Kona!

Perfect base for Big Island adventure

This suite was a perfect base for our Big Island adventure. Very clean and comfortable with all the conveniences needed, including kitchen wares, food containers and wrap for picnics, snorkeling and beach gear (including 2 coolers), extra towels and sheets, extra toiletries, and AC for humid nights. We had a small issue with the shower not draining the first day, but Laury called a plumber in ASAP to fix it and even brought us a bottle of wine for our troubles! He is a great host--super responsive. There's a good view of the ocean from the lanai and the suite is a 3-5 minute walk to the Kailua waterfront area with shops/restaurants/coffee/farmers market. Neighborhood was a bit noisy at night, but that was to be expected so close to downtown. The key operated elevator and locking metal screen door made us feel safe and secure. The parking is convenient, and there's really easy vehicle access on/off the main road. Very close to Safeway, Walmart, and other shops too, which was handy for buying groceries and other essentials. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely perfect!!!!

We stayed in John's condo in Kona for 10 nights in May. Every single detail met or vastly exceeded our expectations. We didn't really expect an outstanding ocean view but the view was excellent, overlooking St. Michaels church and Alii drive to the ocean. All of the furniture was comfortable and new and good quality as were the linens and kitchen amenities. The parking lots down the hill are very expensive so we came to appreciate the reserved parking space and we also were happy to have a secure elevator. Lanai furniture was wonderful. No A/C but plenty of fans and we were always comfortable. We also enjoyed the fact that John supplies beach towels, chairs, mats, coolers, children's floats, etc. The actual sand beaches are limited but if you love the seaside ambience, this area is paradise. We liked the flexibility of being able to eat or wander anywhere we liked rather than being limited to the pricy kohala resorts where you are pretty much limited to their grounds and their food choices unless you drive elsewhere. BTW, no ill effects at all from the volcano during our stay (May 6-16). Very slight awareness of vog at times and could see that the hills were hazy. Recommend Jacks Diving Locker for the Night Manta Ray Snorkeling trip and tour of the Hulihee (sp?) Palace. John was also very responsive to our communications and has already refunded our damage deposit after only one day. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay. The owner, Laurence, welcomed us with a bowl of fruit from his garden. The condo is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. There were beach chairs and beach towels available for our use. The view from the balcony is beautiful and gives you a good sunset view.

Such a perfect little condo with an incredible view

We loved our stay because the host provided very clear communication and the condo was organized, clean, and had everything you need in the kitchen to cook at home. It was set up perfectly for our 3 person family and had beach chairs and a cooler, etc to make beach days a breeze. It's a great location so you can walk to the water, pier and restaurants. Check the guest book for recommendations!
