Very beutiful location, pool and rooms. Breakfast and food was good too. Drinks could be better, the massage was a bit too weak and there was a dirty plate outside of our house from previouis guests. But besides this I strongly recommend staying here. The hotel and the surroundings are amazing.

though to reach this hotel a bit difficult but overall the reception, hospitality, the room, pool everything was great it is nestled in the mountains so amazing location. though you can have more options for the vegetarians

The journey along the rocky road to the property may seem daunting at first, but I promise it's absolutely worth it. Once you arrive, the breathtaking views from both the restaurant and your room are simply stunning. You’ll feel an incredible sense of privacy, completely enveloped by nature. It's the perfect retreat from the bustling chaos of city life, providing a much-needed escape into tranquility. While access by private car is quite challenging—and I genuinely recommend against it for your own safety—the property offers a free shuttle service every hour. This thoughtful service makes it easy to travel to and from the property, especially when the weather turns and the pathways can become slippery. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Dining at ASMAT Restaurant is a delightful experience, especially with such beautiful view to enjoy while you eat. Breakfast was a real treat; I savored the big breakfast alnd truffle soft scramble, juices and fruits were always fresh! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming right from the moment we arrived. It was such a joy to meet Pak Komang, the attentive manager, who genuinely cares for each guest. After spending a couple of nights here, I truly felt rejuvenated. It was the restful getaway I desperately needed, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

Mathis Lodge is absolutely beautiful! In a very unique location with stunning views. The villas are gorgeous, very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were all so lovely and helpful with anything you need. If you need a true break and escape for a few days this is definitely the place to go! Thank you Mathis lodge for making our stay so enjoyable!

A beautiful perfect gem on the topp of the hills!

This place is utterly beautiful and amazing. The view and surroundings are breathtaking. The pictures does not do the place justice! Its new, modern and clean, with a "Tulum"-vibe. The restaurant makes delicious food! As the place is quite new, there was not many other guest staying at the hotel, and we got upgraded - we really appreciated that! The staff was very professional and friendly, and the service was of high quality! A very important note is that you have to make sure that the hotel pics you up. The road up to the hotel is quite steep and crazy with no paved roads. They have a free car service.

Very Disappointing

Very Disappointing – Avoid This Hotel! I am extremely concerned and disappointed. Upon arrival, I met a woman at the reception who shared that her husband had gotten food poisoning from eating at this hotel. Now, both my husband and I are experiencing severe illness ourselves. We suspect it may be from the food here as well. This is completely unacceptable and incredibly worrying. I would advise anyone considering staying here to be cautious, especially when it comes to dining options. Absolutely not worth the risk, driving all the way up here! The hotel booked a taxi for us the return to Canggu, but the taxi had no AC and the driver was driving dangerous fast!

The only good is the view.

The only good thing is the amazing view. This place looks good on the surface but is not authentic. Very bad road to the hotel, staff was not service-minded, the food was not good at all. The place was made for influensers who wants good pictures thats it. You get one bottle of water that fills once a day of "filtered" water. There was a hill with a road the the other rooms outside the toilet so anyone who walked outside could see you. When we told the staff, they hanged up two towels.. Wifi did not work for the first 24 hours. And when they wanted to fix it, they just opened the door while we were sleeping at 8am. They also prioritize influencers, the get better service, more food etc. We had a room next to us that was playing loud music the whole night. Took the staff 5 times so stop it. The telephone in the room did not work either. I do not recommend this place for people having hard time to walk, due to the roads are very uphill.

Nicht empfehlenswert - Gefährlich, renovierungsbedürftig, aber tolles Personal Ich hatte Pool Villa mit Meer-blick, nahe Restaurant und Lobby Leider war mein Aufenthalt alles andere als erholsam. Das größte Problem: Acht hochgiftige Skorpione in sechs Tagen! Laut Einheimischen kann ein Stich tödlich sein, insbesondere für Kinder. Die Hotelangestellten waren selbst schockiert über die Anzahl und dass ich aufpassen sollte da die Tiere extrem giftig und toxisch sind. Das Hotel an sich ist in einem abgewohnten, renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Mein Zimmer wirkte modrig, das warme Wasser reichte gerade für eine Person, und das Internet war, wenn überhaupt verfügbar, extrem schlecht. Auch das Essen war enttauschend und nicht auf dem Niveau, das man in dieser Preisklasse erwarten würde. Ein weiteres großes Problem ist Zugänglichkeit: Die steilen, unebenen Wege sind brandge-fährlich und für ältere Menschen oder Personen mit Handicap absolut ungeeignet - was zwar erwähnt wird, aber nicht in der Ernsthaftigkeit, wie es tatsächlich ist. Ein großes Lob jedoch an das gesamte Hotelpersonal! Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich - sie verdienen wirklich sechs Sterne. Fazit : Das Hotel sieht auf Instagram toll aus, mag für eine Nacht oder zwei als Fotokulisse taugen, ist aber für einen entspannten Urlaub nicht geeignet. Wer sich erholen will, sollte sich etwas anderes suchen - und wer mit Kindern reist, dem kann ich nur dringend abraten.

Magnifique hôtel avec vue - Hôtel decentré.

Très bel hôtel avec des chambres magnifiques. Si vous cherchez un lieu décentré c’est le bon endroit. Par contre si vous souhaitez profiter de la mer, cherchez un hôtel plus proche de la côte. Il faut compter 15 min de montée/descente de l’hôtel vers le point « drop on/off » avec une navette par heure (5km). Les services sont impeccables mais comme l’hôtel est décentré vous payez un prix supérieur. Le lieu est très calme mais si malheureusement vous tombez en période de fêtes, les voisins disposent d’une sono qui résonne de 5h à 22h (l’hôtel n’a pas été très honnête et a attendu le que le check in soit finalisé pour nous informer). La vue de l’hôtel est sublime et les chambres sont parmi les plus belles de Bali.

Hôtel Magnifique

Superbe séjour de 5 nuit dans cet hôtel magnifique. Entouré de montagne avec une végétation luxuriante, vue sur la mer de notre chambre. Hôtel idéal pour se reposer. Très bel accueil du personnel qui est vraiment professionnel. Superbe piscine toujours vue mer . Une navette est à disposition pour descendre à Amed toutes les heures. Elle vous dépose à une aéra en bas du village. Ensuite il faut se louer un scooter que vous laisserez sur le parking car la route jusqu’à l’hôtel est difficilement praticable.

Magnifique hôtel

Sommes arrivés par hasard dans cet hôtel suite à une déconvenue dans un autre hôtel situé à amed . Très bel hôtel où là sérénité est au rendez-vous. De très jolis bungalow dans un site naturel magnifique. Piscine superbe avec vue sur la mer . Personnels très agréable et professionnels au petits soins . Sa situation géographique n’est pas un problème car il y a des navettes toutes les heures et jusqu’à 22 h le soir.

vue splendide,hôtel super et situation géo dure

superbe hôtel avec une vue splendide depuis les chambres ou des espaces partagés (piscine, lobby, spa ...). Néanmoins, attention, il faut pouvoir arriver jusqu'à l'hôtel (20 à 30 minutes de routes très peu praticables), ce qui vous convainc de ne pas redescendre pour un dîner en ville. L'hôtel lui même est tout en montée sans navette de la chambre au lobby, il faut donc être assez physiquement en forme quand votre chambre est la plus éloignée

Hôtel offrant une vue extraordinaire. Forcément pour avoir cette vue il faut monter assez haut dans la montagne, ce qui n’est pas forcément le mieux notamment avec un bébé ou personne à mobilité réduite

calme, splendeur et serenité

magnifiques lodges dans la montagne avec une superbe piscine. Le personnel est aux petits soins et l ambiance dégage un serenité difficle à trouver ailleurs. Nous reviendrons lors d un prochain voyage.
