Kineta Vacations from $1,002

The rooms are clean and well enough, just be aware of the neighbourhood we left after safety concerns.

If you are a family with young kids I would probably recommend avoiding this hotel. The area is a little sketchy and we certainly were not going to venture out after dark! It's also a 20-25 minute walk to get to the Acropolis and the heart of Athens. They do a free bus shuttle which is a great addition. However, there are only 10 places on the bus and it can get filled very quickly. The staff on front desk were exceptional and no complaints here. We did eat in the hotel one night but the food was wrong and we sat at the table for ages for it to be cleared and brought the pudding menu - we ended up giving up and settling the bill. Breakfast was very well run and a large choice of foods available. The room gave a lovely view of the Acropolis. It was a little tight for a family of 4 once the sofa bed was prepared. The room was extremely quiet and the temperature control was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during our stay meaning our kids were a little sad.
