Hitachi Central Research Laboratory was established in 1942 by Namihei Odaira, founder of Hitachi. He gave specific instructions to avoid cutting the trees when building on the 207,000 sqm property. They currently open the gardens to the public twice a year (Apr/Nov).

"We had a fantastic time staying here for 10 days. The house was clean, comfortable, the location was very convenient, and the host was super responsive. Less than a 5 min walk to the local train station and a quick trip to Shibuya and Shinjuku with several train options. Within a short walk, you have 7-Eleven, Family Mart, and Lawsons. There is also a grocer close by with a Daiso on the 2nd floor. The neighborhood is very residential, although feels like your are in the city. We felt very safe....

"Staying here was such a wonderful experience! The house is right under the Tokyo Skytree, with shopping and restaurants all around, and the subway station just a short walk away. The home was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed — from a big kitchen and fridge to laundry and plenty of beds. "We didn’t eat the breakfast there but the location was prime and close to different train stations. The staff was very helpful and welcoming as well. Will definitely book again. The gym strictly cardio with a few light DB and a bench to use them on so if you need your cardio while out this place will work!"

"This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku station so it was very easy to get around the city. It’s also very close to the Government building (go for the view) and a park. Overall great location but smaller than average Japanese room. I was by myself so it was fine. "
