I enjoyed my stay at boxotel because it offered a quiet apartment-like stay in a location that was a 10 minute or so walk away from subway or bus service to the highlight areas of Montréal for first-time visitors. The air conditioning and heat worked very well when needed in the room. Hot water showers. Comfy enough bed. TV with streaming apps (not sure if it had any over the air reception). Sain Laurent and BARI-UQAM metro stations were the main ones we used. Grabbed groceries at Nuvi market or IGA. Very pleasant staffperson usually around til 10pm. Self service luggage storage. No keys/keycard - used assigned 6-digit code to access building from outside 24/7, to enter assigned room, and other amenities such as self-stow luggage room after checking out with a few hours before going to YUL airport. If you need lots of pampering, book a room at a regular luxury hotel. If you enjoy being pretty self sufficient and having a generous size room for your stay, try Boxotel!

Great downtown location near metro, shopping and places to eat/drink. Apartment was very spacious and had all we needed. Pool, gym and terrace are very nice. We were able to check in early which was very helpful too.

Everything was exactly as described and the space felt bigger than in the pictures. The location is excellent. Highly recommend this stay if you like what you see in the pictures and are looking for a place in the area!
