To be right on the water and sit out there in the morning and evening was so peaceful and beautiful. The fire pit in the front is also a lovely touch. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. Check in and check out are a breeze. I would definitely book this property again the next time I’m in Louisiana. We picked this house because it said it was on the water and 2.5 acres. It did not disappoint! The dog loved having all that room to run and fetch. The kids loved that there was a kayak rental on site and were able to kayak down the river. I was able to watch them from the comfort of the lounger in the house. It’s also conveniently located a short drive or walk from almost everywhere we needed to go. The hosts were very responsive, and I loved all of the detail that they put into their guidebook of things to do. We tried several of them! The house was cozy and the perfect size for 4\. If I had one negative (and it’s a small one), it’s that this house is very close to the other house that’s on the property. Everything we needed was there! We ended up having to stay indoors more than expected because of the rain every day. The house had a great floor plan and had all of the necessities. We comfortably slept, cooked and hung out for 4 days! The location was close to some wonderful places in Lafayette and frankly, Louisiana! Definitely, get sandwiches from Olde Tyme Grocery-local dining gem 💎 The hosts were very accommodating! Great value for the money! My only wish was more seclusion.
