“This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars. “Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……

“Amazing! Helens' cottage is beautiful. A hidden gem, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious ,clean ,and everything you need is there and all good quality. Don't let the 4ft bed put you off, it's so comfy and you'd be missing out on a fantastic break. It's peaceful, amazing views, walks. Only a short walk to Llangollen, such a pretty town. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it .Helens' attention to detail is no less than perfect.”

“This was a lovely property to stay in, and our hosts Karl and Helen were so thoughtful with the set up. It had everything we needed, from kitchen ware to bathroom essentials, including feminine hygiene products. They left us a loaf of bread and some milk so even breakfast and tea were sorted.The little patio was so nice and gave us the privacy we needed. “Great little cottage in a very small village. Close to amenities and local shop has everything you need. Waterfall Close by which was a bonus whilst walking the dog. Nearby railway and very picturesque walks. Cottage itself very clean and tidy has a log burner 2 beds 1 large with ample room entry to 2nd through first. Host went above and beyond as wife's birthday and arranged flowers and bubbly for our arrival. Had a great 5 day break and would recommend to everyone wanting a nice quiet time……

While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home.
