“We had the best time at this house! Close to grocery stores, restaurants, 7-8 different perfect beaches. The house was perfect for our family. The only downside was the main areas did not have a/c, but each room did so it was completely manageable. Howler monkeys right outside our windows and various birds to listen too and amazingly beautiful butterflies just flying around. The maid and pool boy came in to clean while we were gone and communication with Emma was phenomenal. Great place to stay!”

“The primary reason to stay in this casita is the location and the stunning views. The garden is beautiful with a path that opens to La Playa Negra. The beach is quiet and private and absolutely breathtaking. We were able to spot the sloth in the garden on a few occasions and had an up close view of him moving once which was very special. As previously mentioned in reviews, there was a bottle of wine and chocolate waiting for us. We were met to check in and get acclimated to the environment....

“Todo lindísimo Solo q Vrbo no deberia de tenerla como casa con piscina porq l piscina queda a más de 3 km y se debe consumir algo para usarla. También dice q tienen bicicletas disponibles pero no dice q las rentan. Por lo demás la casaun encanto y la duen y Alexia fue fantástica. Gracias!!!!”

“Villa mango was the perfect spot for our family reunion. A pool in the centre everyone with their own space and room and a gorgeous outdoor kitchen and bbq. Would highly recommend. Yves was such a great host and helped with every small question and even sourced some amazing fresh fish for us one day. Thank you!”

“This place is impossible to explain. You have to be there to know how magical it is. The wildlife is so dense it could be scary for some people. The big tree has about a hundred Oropendola nests in it, and a Green Macaw nest. The tree next to it has a pair of Bat Falcons nesting in it. The first night we were there we heard big cats in the woods real close to the house. We also saw a couple of snake species, and more beautiful poison dart frogs than we could count. From the house there is a view...

“Waking up to the sounds of the beach is amazing! Just a short walk down through their beautiful garden with a resident sloth is the black sand and warm waves. The room was quite comfortable. The bathroom could use a couple more hooks for wet items since things take a while to dry. The property managers are extremely responsive to any concerns and very welcoming!”

“Club Puerto Viejo was amazing. Having access to a pool and other relaxing spaces is what my family needed. We loved the outdoor lounge and kitchen areas. The rooms were great too and usually cooled off at night. We also enjoyed being close to the beach and great places to eat. Those looking for rest and relaxation will love this place!!”

“We loved our stay at Las Casas - it was our own slice of paradise. The pictures don’t do it justice. One thing to note there is no games room or yoga deck but we didn’t mind as we had more space than we knew what to do with. There were so many wild animals passing through we were in heaven and the staff couldn’t have been better. Hoping we can return again one day.”

I made several inquiries to the host weeks before my arrival, only receiving a reply the day I was in route to the area. When flying to another country it's common to ask for the location information prior to your arrival. This helps to make transportation arrangements. Pros: 1.
