Very clean room with comfy bed and pillows. Front desk staff were great. If the hotel wasn’t against the train tracks, it likely would have seemed better.
A handful of us stayed in different rooms. All of us agreed the rooms are very warm. My room had a modern thermostat, but it appeared to do nothing. 23 when I walked in; set to 19; and stayed 23 all night. At least the fan stayed on all night and helped drown out noise. Once asleep, I didn’t notice the noise. Only other tiny issue likely wasn’t the hotel, but the toilet wasn’t installed well and shifts when sitting.
Main complaint is actually communication. I was impressed by an automated text prior to arrival that stated I could respond if needed. I did respond asking details on parking and got no response. For parking, be very careful with ceiling obstructions. I believe there were warnings set at 6ft. I’m 6’2” and can attest after bumping my head unloading the car.
There are better options not far outside of downtown, but this place is hard to beat for location if needing to be downtown. Why away from the McDs area across the street if after dark…
If needing food, the short walk to Taste Market is always worthwhile in comparison to other nearby options. (Breakfast sandwich, huge amazing croissant, and large coffee was under $14).
