Mer Rouge Vacations from $582

**Title: A Disappointing Stay – Cleanliness Should Be a Priority!** From the moment my husband and I walked into our hotel room, we were greeted by a horrible stench. The smell was so bad that we had to use our own personal air freshener just to make the room somewhat bearable. Unfortunately, the smell wasn't the only issue. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. We actually had to use our own Clorox wipes to clean the sink and toilet before we felt comfortable using them. The bathtub had brown stains, and there appeared to be mildew or mold on the walls. Honestly, the condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. I really wasn't going to complain, but my husband jokingly said, "Well, at least we don't see any bugs!" And at that point, I didn't know whether to laugh or be even more concerned that this was the bright side of our stay! When you pay for a hotel room, the bare minimum you expect is a clean, fresh-smelling, and sanitary environment. Guests should not have to bring their own cleaning supplies just to feel comfortable staying in a room they've already paid for. I'm not someone who complains about every little thing, but cleanliness is not a luxury. **It's a basic expectation.** Unfortunately, this hotel fell short, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously so future guests don't have the same experience.

We had people above us that sounded like they were moving furniture all night. We could hear everything so the rooms aren't very solid. We called the front desk and they said they would talk to them but I had ear plugs in and could still hear them moving around. Other than that the room seemed nice. I guess it's bad construction.
