The cabin is a charming get-away, nestled on the canal. I spent every night watching the stunning sunset views, a burning wood in the firepit to stay warm while the stars come out. If you grew up in a simpler time, or are looking for a place to slow down and appreciate the little things, this is the place to be. The host, Wally, is very kind to stop by and check-in the first night, and was helpful with recommending food nearby and how to get around. I look forward to going back with my family when I'm not traveling for work, so they can experience the charm and tranquility of the cabin. Thank you again for extending your hospitality and trusting me with the place, I am grateful for the nostalgia and can't wait to return.

This is not a charming cottage. It is a ramshackle and extremely dated dwelling. The dwelling only had heat in the 2 bedrooms. There was none in the kitchen or living room... and the weather got down to the 50s. There are big gaps between the window frame and glass,so there was wind coming in off the river! The towels in the bathroom were old and mismatched and there was no soap at all in the bathroom. The only positive was the location- beautiful river view.
