The reception was closed here for my whole stay and I had to go to another hotel nearby to check in. When we got the hotel our room on the third floor smelt strongly of sewage and there was an ant infestation in the bathroom. I was changed to another room on the same floor but it’s basically an attic with rooms. The new room was badly lit the bathroom had some mildew but the bed was clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t book this hotel again.

A very clean, spacious room with a great location. A mix of historical with modern rooms. Quiet rooms from street noise and very helpful staff. Easy walking to Spanish Steps and some great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. My only concern was security. EASY for anyone to walk into the lobby and access the room floors. One time I walked into the hotel via the open laneway passage, up the stairs to my floor, down the room's hallway (each hallway has a key activated entrance for security reasons) but most times these doors remained open and accessible to all hallways) right into my room that was being cleaned. No one requested ID nor my room key for security. I gathered what items I needed, and left. No one should be OK with that lack of security - esp. a single woman travelling solo. Other than the hotel needing to correct this, the hotel was great, and the staff very helpful.
