“We had a lovely stay in this house. I'd read reviews that criticised the cleanliness of it, and I wonder why some people like to moan. (To get good cleaners in the Lake District is not the easiest thing.) We liked the house and garden. “Excellent location with a beautiful view from the property. Stayed very cool inside during a heatwave (but could be cold if not so hot outside!). The apartment itself has a good space and a full kitchen. However, there is quite a lot of clutter and lots of unnecessary electronic devices (such as multiple sky boxes, Alexas, wifis, entertainment systems etc). “We have recently returned from a 4 night break at Tawny cottage. Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King……

“The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games.
