Geothermic Museum Tours

Disappointing having been previously happy with Best Western. We asked in advance for a an EV charging space and got no response until a week before when a link was sent with no explanation. When I got round to looking at it you could book EV as part of check in but we were then told all the spaces had gone - frustrating as it’d been a key reason choosing the hotel. When we arrived we had missed our dinner slot due to traffic and were told we could not eat till 10/10.30 - not ok for a young family. This was delivered with no apology or helpful suggestions. We were then charged for parking (although we’d already made the point that wasn’t great when they’d ignored our request for a charger) - deemed our fault for only replying to the link sent rather than theirs for not responding to the original request. By the end of the interaction we were pretty upset with the service and how we were being spoken to. We went up to our (small room - described as a “junior suite”) - not like the site pictured but serviceable. When we returned to reception the lady who had originally been unhelpful HAD found us a restaurant to eat at in town at 9pm and a charging space (unfortunately we couldn’t use it as our car had a roof box) - this was helpful if frustrating to come late. The stay overnight was unbearably hot despite the air con being on - open windows but it was very noisy. Couldn’t wait to leave!
