Horse Stall 3 Trotter Range
Summary: Stay in a Horse Stall Suite in the Grand Ol Barn at Starstruck Farm! Unique 2 level Horse Stall Suite w induction cookware/fridge, PRIVATE FULL bathroom, a full size memory foam bed down & a queen size bed in the loft, BIG TV, wifi, quiet heat/cool & lots more! Country Breakfast included 7:00-9:30 a.m! Hike & sightsee on 46 beautiful acres! The Starstruck Farm horse barn Reba built has been converted to a B & B!
The Space: In the mid 50's there was a movie released starring Pat Boone and Shirley Jones. "April Love" was a movie about a young man from the city who somehow found himself working on a horse farm. Pat soon found himself in love with the farmer's daughter (no, not like that!) and at the same time was learning to drive harness horses. Jay's dad (George Wilfong) and Jay's uncle Ralph Wilfong were the stunt drivers for that movie which was filmed in part at Trotter Range, just outside Greenfield, Indiana.
Guests stay in one of a kind, converted horse stalls! Truly a unique, fun life adventure! You also have over 40 acres of beautiful farmland to hike on and enjoy, with farm sights and sounds, picnic areas and snoozy hammocks! Walking distance to Old Hickory Lake, Martha Gallatin Recreation Area and the famous Cherokee Steakhouse & Marina!
Guest Access: The Starstruck Farm "Horse Stall Suites" sit in one of Tennessee's most beautiful and iconic structures, which was originally constructed and owned by Reba McEntire! Thank you Reba! The barn sits in the middle of 46 acres of beautiful Tennessee farmland, complete with trees, ponds and wildlife. Guests are welcome to to walk or ride bikes around the farm. The farm is located just 200 yards from Old Hickory Lake. Cherokee Marina, Gallatin Marina and Martha Gallatin Rec Area are all very close by. Come visit! Hang out and "demateralize" for a day or week or two! See you soon! Thanks. Jay
Getting Around: Our own Liberty Limo Service is at your notice with advance notice! Also Uber, Lyft and local taxi services.
Other Things to Note: Important Note for Starstruck Farm and Twig City Farm Guests: If you reserve one of my Tiny Houses, Horses Stall Suites, A-Frame Glampers, Tents, Teepees or Pitch-A-Tent Listings please stop and consider that you are reserving a listing located on a farm and in the country. It is not unusual to see an occasional insect or small Tennessee wildlife (including Stuart Little on very rare occasion) during your visit. If this is an issue for you or anyone in your party please do not make a reservation. I am not able to provide a full or partial refund.
Perfection, Comfort, Luxury, Rain and Leaky Roofs: We are “Perfectly Imperfect” and cannot guarantee that you will be in perfect comfort and luxury. Don’t make a reservation if you expect a Hilton type experience. We are not in that business. During heavy rains, there might be a roof leak particularly in teepees and glamping tents. There could be occasional maintenance issues and we will always resolve them in the quickest timeframe possible. We will always do our best but don’t expect perfection please.
Hunting: We do not permit hunting of any type of either property and in fact consider the farms to be Tennessee Wildlife Preserves. However, you could hear occasional gunfire off in the distance because hunting is legal in Tennessee and is an integral part of the Tennessee heritage and culture.
Fireworks and Farm Noises: You are likely to hear typical farm noises during your visit. We also have fireworks periodically throughout the year at Starstruck Farm on holidays and special events.
Reserving a Listing for Others: Although we accept third party reservations, please do not make a reservation for others without first discussing this information with them. Remember that you will be the responsible party and stop to consider that THEY may not have the same desire to visit a rural setting.
After Hours Guest Services: Also, we cannot be responsible for being “on-call” after 6 p.m. for minor guest needs and services. Repair of maintenance issues might not be possible until the following morning. Upon your arrival please inspect your listing inside and outside and let us know then, if something needs to be addressed, rather than late at night. Please arrive before dark to become acclimated and to enjoy the properties.
Thanks again and best wishes!
Jay
