"Really great overall experience on my sleep stopover during a long trip. The room was simple but clean and had everything I needed. The area had some basic amenities while also being surrounded by natural beauty. I was glad for driving the extra 25 minutes to avoid larger cities and chain hotels. "We had a great few days here in Pleasant Mount. We have a family of 15 with grandchildren ages 8-17. The house was very comfortable for all of us. The boys loved fishing in the pond and all of us had fun in the pool and playing pickleball when the rain stopped. The house was very well equipped and clean. We ate many meals at home. Most days were very rainy and cloudy but we had fun inside with plenty of room for us to play games and cards. The host Jennifer was very available to contact with questions and got back to us very quickly. We chose this home because one family had a son playing in a tournament in Cooperstown and this property was only about an hour and forty five minutes from Cooperstown so they were able to head off from Pleasant Mount to Cooperstown. "

"Stayed for a Father’s Day weekend with a buddy to fly fish. The cabin was perfect, as was the location. The property makes it seem as if you’re in a remote location, but it’s a 3 minute drive into town. The land itself is beautiful, and really well kept. As for the cabin, it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and with everything you’d need. Its location to the river system was great, and we couldn’t have asked for more.."

"Fabulous getaway! Pictures do not do this lakefront home justice. Extremely spacious and welcoming.. you would never know that this home was even attached to the owner’s home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer to make use of the outdoor lake toys. Know your directions as Verizon cell phone service does not work in that area.. Definitely will be rebooking!"

"This was our 3rd stay at the Rails to Trails Lakehouse. Although the weather was cold and wet, we had a great relaxing weekend and even caught a few bass."
