"We had a lovely time visiting the Black Forest from the UK. The apartment is spacious and very clean with everything you need. The area is great for walking and visiting the beautiful Freiburg. The town is cute and quiet.The apartment is close to a road that is usually quiet but does have a bus route and the occasional lorry. There are a few additional charges that I assumed were included in the price (internet, bedding, cleaning), so read the additional documents sent by the host. "

"We were really disappointed with our stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, we specifically booked an accommodation with a terrace, but were given a room with no terrace at all. This was misleading and not what we paid for. To make matters worse, we were charged 50 euros for cleaning, which is completely unreasonable considering the state the property was in when we checked in. The only positive aspects of our stay were the spa and the view, which were both very nice. Unfortunately, those few good points didn’t make up for the overall lack of cleanliness and misleading listing. Would not recommend to anyone and specially to ones travelling with kids."

"Good value single bed room in top condition and lots of space, with a very good buffet breakfast (if you arrive before 9 - after the choice was limited), a small in-house wellness sauna and access (8 minutes drive or free bus) to partner hotel’s impressive wellness centre (pool, several saunas, steam, plus charged treatments). Food in the atmospherically alpine dining rooms was good, if slightly on the expensive side. Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago. But the close enough run (Notschrei) was good enough. "

"Quirky place high up in the mountains. Beautiful setting. Great breakfast and good sizes rooms, however the walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbours at all hours. We didn’t get much of a lie in! Our shower was luke warm and not very powerful. "
