Exceeded Expectations

I was extremely satisfied with the condo itself. It was very clean and well kept. I was also very satisfied with the Golden Sands property itself as well. The staff was always active in caring for the facility - they did a very good job.

Perfect for a couple or a small family

My wife, our two year old, and I rented this space for a short getaway in ocean city and could not have been more pleased. The space was just big enough that we weren’t on top of each other, but small enough to contain a little one. The views from the living room and the bedroom are stunning, and will be the #1 reason we return!The only improvements I could see being made are small ones. Some of the dresser knobs are loose, and the bifold closet doors are aluminum, which made this premium experience feel like I was slamming my high school locker shut every time I had to get into the closet. Those are small sacrifices for what is otherwise a perfect space in the heart of clean city. Definitely check it out!

Spacious, lovely and bright. Kitchen / Living room open accommodates family nicely.

You will not find out your room number until after you book, which is a tad odd. A 4pm checkin even for parking means you lose an entire day. We have always been able to get a 1 - 2pm check in. So the room is great, check in not so much. Lots of rules with "if this then that", which I understand on a private property, but lets face it, someone affording this ocean front unit is going to be a responsible adult. The shower is actually a "Jack and Jill" between the two bathrooms/bedrooms, so very convenient and better than it states as a 1 1/2. Our family of 5 had no issue sharing shower.

Not recommended & Not clean

Check in was disaster… check in process ( 4 pm ) took us 4 hours ( until 8 pm ) bc elevators were so crowded and 1 was broken..thank god we didn’t have babies or infants Bathroom was gross, hair from previous tenant. Sand and dirt along furniture in bedrooms Brown dirt along base boards in bathroom. When emailed, owner said he wasn’t responsible- referred us to cleaning company.. Cleaning company said they don’t move furniture when cleaning and that they were surprised bathroom was gross, that is all. Waste of money. Not recommended

Outstanding

Loved all the interior beach decorations. Cozy and comfortable with amazing ocean and sunrise view from master bed. Wish there had been mirrors in the bedrooms. Looking forward to going back.

Short Trip

The property was good for our short stay, very convenient for the beach, pool, and nearby restaurants and mini golf. It was pretty quiet at night, which was appreciated. It felt a little cramped for our four adults and seven year old, but was serviceable for our four night stay. A nearby grocery store was very useful as we cooked multiple meals in the unit. If you are bothered by light when sleeping, know that the primary bedroom faces the tennis courts and volleyball and the lights may not turn off until 11 pm or so.

Our Beach Trip

We had a wonderful time at the beach. Lovely condo. The condo was at a great location. Many amenities at the Golden Sands. Check in was a breeze. With one elevator down, we had to wait quite a bit for rides up and down. We mostly took the stairs which wasn’t too bad because we were on the 6th floor. Thanks!!

Exactly as Advertised

We had a great vacation. No surprises. Clean, comfortable, easy beach access, easy parking, easy to get where we wanted to go. Located north of the busiest parts of the beach, it was perfect for my family!

Needs some work

We checked into the Golden Sands, where we have stayed before. The unit was nicely appointed, but definitely neglected. There are many repairs needed. The laundry room pocket door was not secured and nearly fell on us twice. The bathroom towel rack was loose and not stable enough to hang towels. The floor mats and bed quilts needed laundering as there was a mildew like smell. Many of the bedroom blinds were broken therefore allowing direct sunlight in the morning. We were able to hand two spare blinds ourselves, but the other extra we’re sitting in the closet and under the bed broken. The view from the unit is wonderful l. That was the saving grace. The repairs are simple enough and general cleanliness can be achieved. We are also VRBO owners and compare the property and amenities to our own standards for guests.
