This is, without question, the most unhygienic and poorly maintained place we have ever stayed. A COMPLETE SCAM : After a single night, the host filed a completely false damage claim against us. “The location was great for it's proximity to Whakapapa ski field, apart from the trains it was a quiet neighbourhood, with a playground nearby, and plenty of room inside.Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the property let it down, it felt like it could do with a deep clean throughout the house. The dishwasher had a funny smell, there was human hair in the dishbrush (we went and bought our own for the trip), hair and other debris in the cutlery drawer and all the tea towels were smelly and dirty……

“It looks like the place has been going thru renovations. The room has new kitchen and floor, may be carpet too. It is about 15-20 min. to the NP visitor center and many thrailheads and has restaurants and supermarket nearby. Since the room has full pane glass as wall and access door along the corridor ( much like patio door ) which allows full view of the mountains and also tenants walking on the corridor. For privacy, you need to close the curtain.”
