Staff was awesome. Got there hours before check n, but the were able to accommodate my wife and I. Coffee was always fresh and stocked. Room was awesome. Very comfortable. We actually did use the pool and hot tub. Overall, we visit Ottawa this time every year and will never go to another place. This is the spot!

The lady at the reception area didn't seem to have any idea that I had made a reservation a week or two before arriving. We had three adults and she asked me if we needed two beds. Of course, with three adults. She kept looking and looking for a room on Sunday evening. I had my reservation confirmation and she didn't want to see it, which irritated me. She just kept looking. Finally, she round a room, problem being that she didn't really know who to run the charge machine. I had to put my card through twice and then she wasn't certain. Then I started wondering if I was going to be charged twice or maybe three times for the room. I just didn't have confidence in her and she did the same thing to the lady behind me. Still have ???? about her. Room was fine after we were assigned one.

I am deeply disappointed in this experience. Booked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub after a long day of driving. Upon checking in, find out that both have been down for a month with no ETA for a fix. There was never an attempt to contact me before my checkin day to inform me that a significant amenity that I was paying for would not be available. While I would have been allowed to cancel without penalty upon checking in, that would have left me driving around town looking for another option on labor day weekend - not acceptable. The recently remodeled bathrooms also had a sink that the drain popup got stuck on, so I spend the morning with a sink full of water that wouldn't drain. Staff was great, hotel and rooms were very clean. But I feel like the hotel did a bait and switch on me with the amenities and I should have been given a significant discount on the room for not receiving what I paid for.

The desk manager was so nice. She changed our rooms around so my mother-in-law could use an accessible shower. She even went out of her way to run a shower chair down to her room. We really felt the staff not only offered great service, but genuine kindness to us.

This is a great affordable find in North Ottawa! Near enough for hiking and strolling and enjoying town. Safe and clean and friendly!! Pool…Hot tub… hot breakfast….beds were very comfy and towels and shower was outfitted with shampoo/conditioner/body wash and a lotion! They are dog friendly too!
