Beautyfull guest house with great service

The guesthouse is very close to the town center but still in a quiet area. Our room was big and all is very clean. Elza and Albert are great hosts and know where to go and what to do. Make sure to have enough time for breakfast it is delicious

Great guest house. Hosts were amazing and gave great recommendations of things to do in the area and restaurants. Lots of information provided before we arrived which was also super helpful. Rooms were really comfy and uniquely decorated. Loved the honesty bar and terrace to sit out before dinner. Breakfast was also delicious

A great discovery

The hospitality was great from the moment we arrived until leaving. Not over the top, just natural. It's well located in the town for restaurants and nearby attractions yet secluded and secure. Relaxing was easy. It's an old 'colonial style' house and furnished appropriately and interestingly. It works.

The perfect guesthouse!

Riverside lodge in Oudtshoorn is an amazing guest house. Every last detail in the room and lodge is thoughtfully planned to the enjoyment of guests. Big and spacious rooms, Beautifully decorated, spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast was a delight. Plenty and tasty. Its definitely the best guesthouse we've ever been in. Thank you Elza and Albert for being perfect hosts.

Excellent location by the river and short walk to restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful and had thought of everything- even a very well stocked honesty bar. We stayed in a self- catering lodge which was equipped with all that you would need to cook for yourself. We ate out at Anny’s Bistro, which was recommended by our host, Albert. The lodge was large and came with an open fireplace as well as a lovely deck with comfortable seating. A real find and great value.

A heritage property that has been lovingly decorated to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail. There is a beautiful deck attatched to the property which provides shady outdoor seating and lounging space along with a small pool for cooling off. Breakfast was great and we particularly enjoyed all the little extras provided during our stay such as a fully stocked honesty bar, sherry in the room, fresh water and chocholates at bed time and a free car washing service!! If you are looking for a luxury guest house experience in Oudtstroon then this is your place!

Toller Service, besser geht es nicht

Wir haben zwei Nächte in einem der großen Ferienhäuser zu Dritt verbracht und waren total begeistert. Die Ferienhäuser sind wirklich so schön wie auf den Bildern (supertoll ist auch die große eigene Terrasse an den Ferienhäusern) und der Service , welchen Elza und Albert (die Besitzer) bieten ist schwer zu toppen. Sie sind immer vor Ort und stehen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, jeden Tag gibt es einen Welcome-Evening mit Snacks und Weinen für die Neuankömmlinge. Das Frühstück ist toll und wirklich lecker. Das B&B liegt sehr zentral in Oudtshoorn und es sind einige Restaurants gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die größte Überraschung erlebten wir am ersten Morgen, da ALLE Autos früh morgens als kostenloser Service jeden Tag gewaschen werden - mehr Service geht nicht. Wir können die Riverside Lodge wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen und haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt.
