Snail Pace for the Best Place

This was our family’s third consecutive year at Snail Pace, and we’re never disappointed. You can always tell Kevin and Barbara know the importance of providing a clean, inviting environment for guests. Even though the temps were hot, the view was beautiful and the town is so quaint. No crowds, just calm breezes with relaxing waves. Kevin checked in just to make sure we were good and all of we needed anything. I also love the extra touch of oj and champagne for mimosas!

Comforting Vacation

This home is very accomodating. Kevin and Barbara thought of everything that we could have needed. Even down to the hairdryers. The view is spectacular from the upper porch to the lower deck. Kevin is a gracious host. He checked in several times by text just to make sure everything was good and we did not need anything. They even decorated for Christmas before we arrived. Thanks again for the wonderful stay 8n your home.

Quiet Getaway

Snails Place was as advertised and very well stocked. Kevin was very helpful and knows the area well. The views from the deck are great with easy beach access.

Retirement beach trip

Nice, Private Beach Home

Our family stayed July 4th week of 2024. If you want a quiet beach trip full of wildlife this is an amazing beach house. It is close to Wakulla Springs for a great day trip. Also, close to a few great state parks one minutes from this house. The house itself was fully furnished with many extras already there such as laundry detergent, soaps, paper towels, and such. We, of course, bought what we used to get the next guest started.

Very clean home and well equipped.

The home was beautiful and in the perfect spot. Very safe area. Kevin was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Back again and loving it more!

This was our second stay, and we love it here. I hesitate to review it, so no one else gets the desire to book when we want it, but Kevin as a host and the home are both fantastic.

Peaceful vacation home

We truly enjoyed our stay at Snail’s Pace. It was a well kept home with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Although it was smaller than other homes we have rented, it had everything we needed to cook meals and feel comfortable. The front deck was the perfect place to watch the sunrise and my kids enjoyed spending time in the screened porch in the evenings. The twin bedroom did stay warmer than the other rooms but we grabbed a fan from the dollar store and that helped a lot. The beach was never crowded and we loved walking along the shore in the mornings and evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

Experienced Snow Bird

This property contained everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were very helpful and always friendly. We were familiar with the area, and it was nice to visit the old haunts. The sunrises were beautiful!

Great place

It was perfect! the hosts were awesome and even told us of a Rocket launch from Kennedy space station that we could see from the deck! the house was amazing super clean and had literally everything we needed like beach towels chairs and toys etc... it was quite and relaxing we spent most our time at the beach or on the deck we even saw dolphins swimming by. it is a tad far from things like stores and restaurants, but this was no issue for us. It would have been nice to have a vacuum on hand to combat the sand, but the provided broom worked just fine. 10 out of 10 would stay again.

Marvelous

Perfect for myself and family. We weren't looking for fast food or lots of touristy things. We just wanted time on the sand without a bunch of noisy neighbors. This property checked all the boxes

Perfect seclusion

This was the best place to stay for relaxation and seclusion. The property owners were very accommodating and thought of everything. I am so happy that i chose this place. Highly recommend!!

Cute and comfortable!

The property was vey comfortable and cute! We had everything we needed! It was great that towels and sheets were provided. I also thought it was convenient to have beach chairs and other sand toys provided. The view was awesome with beautiful sunrises!

Labor Day

We had a great time and made more memories! Very clean and well put together vacation home. All the necessities you need for a relaxing vacation on the beach. The decor of the home gives you those beach vibes you are looking for! Very hospitable host - Hurricaine Idalia hit the area the day before our reservation and Kevin kept us informed on the availabilty for our stay. Thank you Kevin & Barbara!

Calm and Peaceful

We had a great time here. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The water was calm and perfect for paddle boarding and fishing. The view from the house was stunning. The beach felt very private with few beach goers (which we thought was amazing). Kevin was a great help and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Family Beach Stay

The house was extremely clean and exactly as listed. It had all of the essentials and then some. This house is exactly what a VRBO should be. No extra hoops to jump through and Kevin was great. Local restaurants were wonderful and the area was lovely. With that being said- We were unfamiliar with this side of the Gulf, and did not do our research before renting (Totally our fault). The Beach was not what we had imagined, and that caused us to spend a lot of time indoors or finding things to do in town. Thankfully the house had so many outdoor options for the kids to play that they didn’t seem to notice.
