"Comfortable and quiet is what we were looking for and the home met our expectations. Five of us stayed for a week and we had a great time. The house is well stocked which made cooking from home easy. Susan and Philip were great hosts and quick to respond to questions. We’ll be back if they’ll have us!"

"Desi’s Hideaway was the highlight of our vacation. We had several incidents throughout the weekend, the only light at the end of the tunnel was returning to our home away from home. Then to top it off, our hosts took time out of their day to aid our family members, that were not even guests of theirs. My wife’s family reunion in in Camp Wood, so there were uncles and cousins everywhere. They got two trucks stuck by the river and our hosts were awesome enough to help get them unstuck and get them a reasonable mechanic. I would definitely recommend Desi’s Hideaway for a great weekend!"

"We loved staying in this VRBO! The house is true to the pictures, very clean, and is pretty large with lots of space for a large family to chill out. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans and a good selection of spices. There is access to the river and it was a very quiet neighborhood. We had absolutely everything we needed and loved our stay."

"We loved this property. If we ever need to visit Brackettville again, we will be back! The property was nicely decorated and very clean. Our party only used the 2 king bedrooms - the mattresses and bedding were comfortable. The master bathroom is spacious. There was plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances. The golf course is behind the property, but we never saw anything but deer out there. Great place!"
