Loved the hotel, the food was excellent, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. However, **avoid any room overlooking 4th Street.** The traffic noise was absolutely unbearable, and we got very little sleep. Trucks using engine retarders, motorcycles with straight-through exhausts, and modified trucks racing through the street made it one of the worst nights I have ever experienced in a hotel. We complained and received a polite “We are so sorry,” but that simply wasn’t good enough. The hotel has been operating since the late 1800s, so surely this complaint has been made before. Management should be well aware of the problem and should have a solution in place, such as soundproofing, better room allocation, or warning guests in advance. If you are assigned a room facing 4th Street, **request to be moved immediately**. The noise seriously affected our stay.

Room was clean, exactly as described, check in was super easy and hosts communicated wonderfully will definitely considers staying again for our next trip.

A total dream! Stunning mountain views and amazing wildlife.,We recently stayed at the Corduroy Inn and Lodge during the beautiful early autumn shoulder season, and it is an absolutely gorgeous property. Visiting in September meant we enjoyed pleasant mountain weather, fewer crowds, and significantly lower rates compared to winter. It was a bit quiet during our stay, and a quick tip for future travelers is to plan ahead, as many of the local restaurants and shops were closed, and our planned trips to the Cass Scenic Railroad, the Observatory, and the Green Bank Observatory's science center fell on days they were closed. However, the lodge's natural surroundings and wildlife more than made up for it! The deer herds were large and beautiful; we saw several herds during our stay and were even greeted by a sweet deer family right in the parking lot as we were leaving. Between that and the amazing sunsets, it was breathtaking. There is nothing quite like waking up to a clear blue morning sky, sitting right among or directly above the clouds. A massive shoutout to Theresa at the front office—she was absolutely fantastic and provided stellar hospitality! Our room was spotless, well-maintained, and featured an incredibly comfortable bed with premium bedding. It came equipped with a handy kitchenette.
